Area hospitals the winners at TnT’s 7th Annual Golf Tournament

Craig and Tara Tanton of TnT Instrumentation of Sedgewick welcomed 113 golfers on Friday, Aug. 16 in their seventh annual golf tournament held at the Sedgewick Golf Course.

The tournament proceeds are earmarked for local hospitals, including Hardisty, Killam, Daysland, and Viking, and each entrant can specify where their entry fee or donation goes.

In addition to entry fees, Tara Tanton says that they receive many donated items for prizes, and a live auction, as well as hole sponsorships, numbering more than 27 this year.

This year there was also a ‘Hole in One” prize of $10,000 sponsored by Main Street Medley in Alliance, but no one managed to sink it in one this year.

Tanton says most of the donations are taken in prior to the tournament, but she’s always surprised at the generosity of golfers who come the day of the tournament and make additional cash donations, or with prizes in hand.
