About Czar:

Czar is a village in central Alberta. It is located 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of the Saskatchewan border, at the intersection of Highway 13, Buffalo Trail and the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks. Czar originally was built up chiefly by Russians, hence the name which is a title used to designate certain Slavic monarchs or supreme rulers. Czar was incorporated on November 12, 1917. The population is 202, according to the 2016 census. Angela Large is the current Mayor.
