Lisa Brokop brings The Patsy Cline Project to Daysland

Lisa Brokop of Canada’s Country Music fame has been travelling with her show “The Patsy Cline Project” for the last year, and says it’s been “Fantastic!”

She brought the show to the Palace Theatre stage in Daysland last Thursday, March 2, through the DaysArts concert series, and played to a full house.

Brokop and her band performed some of Patsy Cline’s greatest hits, a few of Brokop’s own hits, and some original material written expressly for this show.

Supported by John Thiel on piano, guitar, and vocals, Darren Savard on guitar and vocals, Darcy Johnstone on upright bass and vocals, Lisa delivered a timeless repertoire with stunning emotion and power.

Adding to the performance was a massive visual screen featuring photos of Cline during the performance.

When Brokop first started her singing career, she would sing some of Cline’s songs because she didn’t yet have her own, and has now come full circle, adding her own music to honour one of country music’s greatest ladies, taken too soon in a tragic accident.

DaysArts patrons say it was truly a night to remember.
