RCMP investigate theft of vehicle from residence near Hardisty


Killam, Alberta – On Feb. 16, 2017 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Killam RCMP responded to a theft of a vehicle from a residence in Hardisty, Alberta.




A resident was awoken by the sound of a vehicle being starting in their driveway.

The victim opened the door of the residence and noticed a male was inside their truck.

The male suspect leaned outside the window of the truck and pointed what was believed to be a handgun at the victim then drove away. No one was injured.

Members made extensive patrols in the area but the victim’s truck was not located.

The stolen vehicle is described as:

· 2001 Grey/Dodge Ram with Alberta plate NAF475
Killam RCMP continue to investigate and are asking the public’s assistance in locating this stolen truck. Please contact Killam RCMP or your local police if you see this truck but do not approach any occupant(s) inside.
