Dr. Leanne Ball has joined Dr. Brian Rudosky as an associate in the Daysland and Forestburg Dental Clinics.

Ball grew up 10 miles south of Holden, and says she knew she always wanted to end up in a rural clinic.

She started Dental School at the University of Alberta in 2012, and at the same time, was dating Jeff Ball from the Sedgewick area.

During her time at school, she shadowed under both Dr. Rudosky and Dr. Bryan Nordstrom in Sedgewick.

“I was very impressed with both,” she says.

Ball says that Dr. Rudosky’s efforts towards continuing education to offer a wider range of services really impressed her.

“So I approached Dr. Rudosky to see if he might be looking for an associate, and he was very accommodating.”

She says she’s finding it very busy in Flagstaff, “I talk to my dentist friends in the city, and realized there’s a lot happening here.”

Ball says for rural dental clinics, referrals for specialty procedures is not an ideal option for patients, that’s why she’s so pleased to be working alongside Dr. Rudosky.

She, too, plans to expand her education once she gets some time under her belt. For now, she says, “It’s nice to be able to ask him about some things, he’s got 30-plus years experience.”

Ball started at the clinic this June, but took some time off after that to get married, and came back in earnest in August.

She’s travelling to Forestburg once per week, and says that’s very nice, because it saves people from having to travel.
