Islam open house events to be held in Sedgewick and Hardisty

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is planning to make some stops at local libraries in an effort to spread the word about the true nature of Islam.

Tariq Azeem, Missionary for the Lloydminster chapter of the organization, said that they plan to de-mistify the religion.

“We want to show the real picture of Islam.”

Azeem noted that many extremists and terrorists claim to be representing Islam, but those who practice the religion have no connection to those individuals whatsoever.

“Islam is totally against them and their actions,” said Azeem.

There will be an open house at Sedgewick Library on Monday, May 16 and at Hardisty Library on Wednesday, May 18. Full information is in this week’s edition of the ‘Press.
