Prior to this past Christmas, there was a charity ball held in Vancouver called ‘Feeling Frosty.’

The ball is associated with the VIP Girls Natural Pageants, a program that is just celebrating its first year anniversary.

Local siblings Talayna and Dakota Ekelund from Daysland absolutely wowed the judges when they appeared with $1,800 worth of new toys at the event.

Talayna earned the title “Charity Queen,” for her efforts, while her brother Dakota was given the honourary title of “Lord of the Frost.”

The pair collected the toys by going around their community, asking family and friends, and even donating some new items themselves.

The event had girls from all over BC, Alberta, and even from the USA with donations.

As the organization’s newest ‘elves,’ Talayna and Dakota are charged with going out over the next year to donate their time to different events, for a chance to be crowned Head Elf in 2016.
