Three names put forward for Hardisty by-election

Hardisty held a Nomination Day on Nov. 3 to replace Councillor Shawn Gaetzman, and had three candidates come forward with nomination papers.

The three official candidates for Council are Roger Gaetzman, Douglas Irving, and Penny Wurz.

CAO Sandy Otto says she was very pleased to see the interest brought in the form of candidate nominations.

Residents will have the opportunity to choose between the three in the by-election coming up on Nov. 24.

As always, voters will be required to provide proof of residency, via a government-issued ID, or a utility bill, or a vehicle registration.
