Crime wave in Flagstaff? RCMP reports of break-ins in Killam and Forestburg, fuel theft

On Sept. 4, around midnight, Killam Bottle Depot was broken into and $400-$500 in coin were taken.

Entry was gained through the side door where the lock was cut off with bolt cutters. Video Surveillance was obtained and RCMP are following up with possible leads.

RCMP are asking Killam residents that if they saw anyone hanging around the Bottle Depot around midnight to call police.

On Sept. 10, the RCMP received a call from a male stating that his shed at the Forestburg Golf course was broken into and his golf clubs were stolen (two sets).

The clubs are described as a blue Atco golf bag with a full set of Taylor Made burner clubs with a Taylor Made R1 driver.

The second set is described as being in a black Beddington golf bag with a full set of Calloway S18’s with a Calloway R7 driver and a Titlelist putter. Also in the bag was a yellow Bushnell Range Finder.

A suspicious vehicle was seen in the area and is described as an older blue single cab truck.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have any information regarding this occurrence to call Killam RCMP. Also, if you see the described golf clubs, please contact Killam RCMP.

RCMP are reporting that fuel theft is becoming prevalent in the Flagstaff area.
