Flagstaff & Area News Scenes of construction in Hardisty CP August 8, 2013 Construction is underway east of Hardisty on the south side of Highway 13, with construction of 240 km of 42-inch pipeline and associated pumping and metering facilities extending from the La Corey Terminal, near Cold Lake, to Hardisty. This construction project, called the South Leg Mainline Twinning, is expected to add 550,000 barrels/day capacity to the existing line, according to IPF. Bridge construction on Secondary Highway 881 heading south just out of Hardisty is ongoing, as it has been most of the summer. Traffic on the bridge is down to one lane, and is controlled by a traffic light.
