Regional Fire Chief Kim Cannady says that on May 21 the Castor Fire Department asked for assistance with a fire they were having difficulty controlling.

Cannady says there were two graders and four cats working to build fire guards along the coulees in an attempt to stop the fire before it crossed the Battle River into Flagstaff County.
