Family Day in Flagstaff, lots to do for every age

Leslie Cholowsky – Editor

Family Day dawned with clear skies and mild temperatures again this year, making the perfect day to enjoy a family outing.

In Sedgewick, organizers of the traditional Family Day snowmobile rally turned the event into a quad rally instead.

Sedgewick Ag Society has had to do this in the past as well, to counter winters with low snowfalls. One of the organizers, Andrew Hampshire, said that landowners had all been very cooperative with the change, even though most prefer snowmobiles to quads because they float above the snow and disturb the land very little.

Hampshire said over 100 participants showed up, and many were families in multi-person quads, perhaps even more families than usual.
