Wheaties take on Bisons in opening round of Jr. B playoffs

    The North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League playoff match ups have been set with regular season first place finishers the Vegreville Rangers facing the eighth place Saddle Lake Warriors. The second place Cold Lake Ice will see action against seventh place Thorhild Titans.

    Finishing third the Lloydminster Bandits will match up against the sixth place Vermilion Tigers.
    Fourth place Killam Wheat Kings started their series against the fifth place Wainwright Bisons in Killam on Sunday, Feb. 12 with the Wheat Kings wining by a score of 6-4 and taking a one game lead in the best-of-five series.
    History of games between these two typically dictate that the play will be fast with hard body checks and high scoring.
