The Stampeders travelled to Sedgewick Friday to face off against the Sabres.

In first period play both teams came out flat with low energy. It was a hack-fest with eight penalties being handed out for slashing, roughing and one tripping.

Dallas Erickson scored from Tyler Johnson for the Stampeders late in the period.

During the second period, Hardisty scored four goals from Mat Ponto, Erickson, Andres and Chad Nelson.

The Sabres got on the scoreboard with goals from Scott Efffert and Shaun Poohachoff to make the score 5-2 for the visiting Stampeders.
