Killam Wheat Kings threatening in front

The Killam Wheat Kings Junior B hockey team faced off against the Wainwright Bisons last Wednesday in Killam.

There was not a very big crowd in attendance to support the home team boys.

The play was fast and rough with many unsportsmanlike conduct and roughing calls, along with some dirty play in the third in the form of spearing; safe to say there is no love lost between these two teams.

The Bisons won the previous match up just the week prior in Wainwright.

Again, the officials were the most controversial part of the game with two goals not allowed, and one allowed even though the net was off and the linesmen signaled.

Fans for both teams were on their feet more than a few times with disputed calls or what the crowd clearly saw as missed calls as many voiced their frustration.
